Vinous Antonio Galloni - 01 Dec 15
The 2011 Barolo Bussia - Cascina Dardi captures all the best qualities of the year. Open-knit, gracious and ripe (but not overdone), the 2011 is simply exquisite. The classic profile of Dardi comes through loud and clear, with silky tannins that have been gently softened by the warmth of the year. Alluring scents of leather, tobacco, orange peel and spice lead into the exotic, beguiling finish. This hugely delicious, totally irresistible Barolo is a great example of the vintage at its best.

Barolo

Barolo, the "King of Wines," is a prestigious red from Piedmont, Italy, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. Known for deep complexity, Barolo offers rich flavours of dark cherries, roses, truffles, and spices, with high acidity and firm tannins. It ages exceptionally well, evolving in depth and nuance. Barolo's diverse terroirs create a range of styles, from powerful to delicate. Top producers include Gaja, Bruno Giacosa, Giuseppe Rinaldi, and Marchesi di Barolo, all of whom exemplify Barolo's tradition and quality.
